Please help. I have the Pioneer AVIC-7100NEX head unit. Nexus 6.
Hangouts messages are clipped.
E.g. "Thank you" is heard as "click-ank y-click".
"23 minutes" becomes "click-3 minut-click" etc.
Many messages are indecipherable due to this.
It's not just Hangouts but that's the main concern. Other system speech can be clipped. E.g. if it is navigating and I ask "Are we there yet" twice, it tries to respond "No" but it sounds like "oh" / "click-o". (Ask it 4 times for a chuckle!)
A click is heard instead of the missing syllables, like some audio process is switching over.
I've had the people who installed the system look at everything. There is nothing that he said could cause it as it's an integrated device.
I have latest firmware 1.03.
Suggested fix for Google Devs if it's an Android Auto bug: Add a 0.5s gap before and after speech, but as part of the speech pattern/process. We're driving... we're in no rush!
Thanks!
