Swipe back gesture not working for Android 10/Android Central app ads?

Now I know this might not be the exact spot where I should be posting this... but it's kind of an annoyance...

Have you guys noticed that since the last Android Central app update, whenever one of those annoying, loud adds pop up, now you can no longer use the "swipe back" gesture (Android 10 - full gestures setting) to get rid of them quickly?!

It was a handy, albeit accidental, use for that gesture. Now you are stuck having to see the add until it closes, or you have to look for a tiny "x" in order to close it.

Maybe I'm being petty, but this irks me! I shall complain about this to Google! LOL...

I would check to see if a reboot clears up the issue, then proceed from there. You didn't mention that as a remedial effort, and is usually one of the crazy but simple things that works quite often. Give it a go, if you haven't already. Thanks.

Oh, and better to contact the developers, Google has little to do with the actual apps.

I tried on my OP7 with side gestures and the video closed using the back swipe.
