Let's face it, there are a lot of you out there with the original Motorola Droid, and it's probably starting to look a little haggard. Tell you what: We're going to give one lucky person our (mostly) brand new Motorola Droid 3. And being the benevolent bloggers that we be, let's sweeten the deal. Here's what we'll do:

    • One lucky person will will our Motorola Droid 3. (You'll be on your own for Verizon's service, though.) And we'll throw in $50 worth of accessories from the Android Central Store, too.
    • One other lucky person's gonna get a $50 store certificate, plus a free Android Central T-shirt.
    • And three more of you will win Android Central T-shirts.

What do you have to do to win? Take a picture of your old and busted phone. Doesn't have to be a Motorola Droid. Could be any smartphone. Or, hell, a feature phone. So long as it's old and busted. (But don't go dragging your RAZR through the streets, ya dig?)

The post your pic in this thread.

We'll pick the winners at 5 p.m. EST Aug. 5, and announce 'em on the blog.

It's a U.S. phone, of course, but we can ship T-shirts to a number of countries, so those of you outside the U.S. won't be left out. Now take your pics, and post 'em here! Good luck!
    I so want the a Droid 3.

I'm an avid cyclist. Last month I crashed descending a hill when a squirrel ran into my front wheel. I was very lucky and ended up with no broken bones only road rash and bruises but my bike and my phone did not fare as well. My bike is toast and my Android phone (LG Optimus) was also destroyed in the crash. It was in my back pocket of my cycling jersey.

So, right now I have no bike and I am having to use an outdated Nokia 6010 phone, which is terrible for texting. I miss my Android phone. I would love to have an Android phone as nice as the Motorola Droid 3.

Here is a pic of my original Droid along with my X I replaced it with and my X2 I am currently using. The OG droid was disassembled and fixed twice before I finally gave up on it and got the X. The screen just stopped working and I was able to get it working again... but the phone was never really the same after I took it apart.. lol

Previously I am not an Android user, for a long time I was stuck with an old O2 Xda IIi running Windows Mobile 2003SE:

It it still working, but hard-resets itself every a few months or so. I am now just using it as an alarm clock.

The other one is a regular phone, Sony Ericsson W350:

As can be seen from the 2nd picture, the phone back cover is broken and cannot be closed.

I am now an Android user, and here is my current phone, Samsung Galaxy Ace:

What I wouldn't do for a replacement to my Incredible... Please, please, please! The SD card won't write, so most of my favorite applications don't load properly. I could really use an upgrade!

Here it is and I still have the box and charger. I was putting in the dock with it in the chest pocket of the waders and I am only 5' 5". Well, the pocket leaked and phone stopped working. The good news was I bought a Samsung I300 Palm OS phone and never looked back? A photo of dock and Lake Fenton, MI is included. Being an electronics hobbiest, thought I could use parts some day. Glad to finally throw it away for a shinny new phone.

This is my original Motorola Droid (Sholes) from 18 months ago... or what's left of it.. I still have 6 months left on contract. I cobbled parts from this droid into another broken droid to make my own FrankenDroid to use to ride out the rest of my contract as the headphone jack stopped working and the touch screen kept malfunctioning. FrankenDroid works works well enough. I'd love to trade these in for a new Droid without another 24 months added to my contract.

Had in Otterbox too. Miss my Incredible.

Doesn't Otterbox have a guaranty, that if a phone gets busted while wearing one, they will replace the phone free of charge? O _o

Imagine being a tech guy/gal. Meeting the girl/guy of your dreams. They then pull this out their pocket and use it to make a call. I met my wife and got married last year. This is what she was using when I met her. I gave her my OG Droid, which I had for a while. Needless to say it died shortly after. I now have her on a Droid X with NO INSURANCE. I need that Droid 3 for that inevitable day the X dies in her hands.

My old flip phone. This poor thing went threw hell before it finally started crapping out on me. What I believe did the poor thing in was I got caught having to run about 1/4 of a mile in a hard rainstorm and after that day it just kept getting worse and worse in terms of working/shutting down on me. All the water sensors are red.

Now if I win I will admit the phone will be going to a good friend of mine who in a great need of new phone on Verizon and I need to do it to keep him from going over to the darkside (aka the iPhone)
