For those that don't win one of the neat backups from AC, here is a method that I have been using. It is based on the Tek4 Ryobi kit from Home Depot that I was lucky to find on sale a year ago for $50. Yes, all 6 items were included in the box plus 2 of the 6wh (1500 mahr) LI-ION rechargable batteries and the charger. If you look closely, a green led on the module lights when phone is charging and the indicator on the EVO also turns on. It has a lot of adapters, but the micro USB is used for most phones today. I have used this system to record 7.5 GB of RC Sailing video at a remote location with battery to spare. I think additional batteries are about $13.
The 2nd photo shows the phone up close to show the wallpaper. I am an avid fan of the HTC scenes and have about a dozen including ANDROID, GAMES, PEOPLE, TECHNOLOGY, FINANCIAL, SHOPPING, etc... Thus, it is important to know which scene you are in as it requires you to save with EXACT same scene name everytime you change something in a sceen such as move, add or delete an Icon. If you look closely, you will see the word "ANDROID" repeated in the background wallpaper. It took me about 2 months to really understand the scenes system. The backgrounds were created using Docs to Go Word application. If this is helpful, click on the "Thanks".
