Go phone question

If I buy a go phone, take the sim out, put it in another phone, lets say the att galaxy s3, would it work?

No. The Go phone sim is locked to the phone. You would have to go to an AT&T store, and tell them you want to transfer your go phone account to the smartphone. They will then have to give you a new sim, but it will keep your number and minutes. I did this for my little brother. Also, call customer service first to ask if the smartphone model you want to use is supported by go phone. Not all models are, I think.
