    Saw this in the news:

Man who was struck and killed by lightning in Brecon Beacons 'was carrying a selfie stick' - Home News - UK - The Independent

Man killed by lightning because of selfie stick? - CNET

The latter statement in the CNET article: "However, the dangers of carrying anything metal are underlined by the possibility that a selfie stick may have contributed to someone's death."

Ugh. I guess people should stick with plastic or rubber selfie sticks. Or, as my preference would be, stop using them altogether.

True on that. When I first heard/saw these STs, I got to wondering with great wonderment. "The things that make you go hmmm. . ."

It appears that the "Terminator" uses a selfie stick himself. Judging by the scars on his face and top of head, I'm wondering if he survived a lightning strike?

Pfft. The T1000 wouldn't need that--it could just extrude part of itself to become a selfie stick.
