Description:

Codebreaker X is a classic code breaking game. Player have to break hidden code. A coded combination is made of four different-color crystals. In game there are six crystals in different colors. Player has eight steps to solve the hidden code. After every step, player choice is evaluated and the result is represented by white and black crystals. Those crystals are put into the holes on the left side of the board.

  • Black color mean that in player’s combination there is a correct color placed in correct hole.
  • White color mean that in player’s combination there is a correct color placed in incorrect hole.

Player’s getting points after correct breaking the hidden code. The less steps he makes and the shorter a game-play time is, the more points he gains.

Nice Graphic! And I like the game logic! But some critic points:

1. The in-game-video don't shows the touches so it makes dificult to recognize player actions and understend the geme mechanic.
2. Level-done-sound dont feet to the background music. It sounds litle bit strange if both sounds plays simultaniously. Don't you feel it?
3. You use Black icon for "right placement" and White for "almost right placement" its not intuitiv. Most users will understend the white ikon on dark background as something "activated". I loosed the firs round just because of it =))
I guess if you change the range to:
"white" - right
"gray"- almost rigt
"black"- wrong
it cold be more intuitive. ;)

Could you explain with more details what you mean? What in-game-video? Are you thinking about the video from the Google Play Store?

You're right. I will try to change it.

I haven't invented the meaning of these colors. The idea of these colors was taken from classical Mastermind and is characteristic to this type of game. For this reason, i belive that changing colors won't be more intuitive, especially for people who were playing Mastermind before. Thank you for your suggestion and I truly hope that quick tutorial or "how to play" section will satisfy you and explain everything that is needed to play.

Daistes have you ever played classical board version of Mastermind?

Thank you very much for your feedback :)

"Could you explain with more details what you mean? What in-game-video? Are you thinking about the video from the Google Play Store?"

I mean if the player use a mouse for a game and capture the screen, you could imagine what the player do. You see the movements of his mouse-cursore and know where he clicks. In case of touchscreen without any highlighting of touching points you have no idea what players actions are. It makes difficult to understend the gameplay at all.

Well, I never playd Mastermind before. Maybe because of it I get this issues. I thought as an unbiased UI-User. If something shining - it means active, if something dark - it might be inactiv. ;)
