Hi folks! I'm using an Android one device.

I wanted to backup my device, but it shows 'Waiting to back up' option even using Wi-Fi connection.

I've reinstalled the GDrive updates and removed all Gmail accounts linked with the phone.

After removing all accounts, I repeated the backup steps by log into my single Gmail account but it still not working.

I avoid 3rd party apps, so, please help me out.

(You could check the attached image)

No ! It's almost six months old. It's strange that Google stock options doesn't show the precise details about 'backup' processes.

That is strange on couple them waiting on back up, the only time I seen that is when setting up new phone or flashed the firmware. You can try long press the Google drive app >info tap >clear data and cache then force close the app and see if it fixes this .

I've already tried that too! Still not working.

Is it compulsory to leave the phone idle on backup settings and keep waiting?

We the only other thing I can suggest is log out your Google account and sign back in, meaning removing your gmail account in settings then accounts.

here are a few things you can try.

Solution 1: A Strong Network Connection
Solution 2: Re-add Google Account
Solution 3: Clear Google Drive Cache & Data
Solution 4: Update Google Drive

Alternative: Back up Android Phone to PC

I've tried the mentioned solutions. Nothing worked.

I also have backup images, contacts but unable to do it with app and device settings which could be done via Android settings.

Try disabling screen lock. I have a G7 Power and if screen lock is on, it won't back up and the "back up now" button is greyed out. If I disable screen lock, the button becomes available and I can backup the phone.

I actually can't install my work apps on the phone because my work's security policies require me to use a screen lock. I really need Google to fix this bug.
