Android Central Question

So every notification i get later than 20 mins since i turn my display off is just not showing up. I miss almost every whatsapp message i get because it never shows up unless i open whatsapp. This is very frustrating and from what i read it's a problem with android pie at this point idk what to do anymore. I've already tried disabling battery optimization completely tried allowing whatsapp to be used in the background i couldn't find any option to allow wifi to be used always in sleep mode. Restarting the phone didn't help either. Some people said resetting the phone to factory didn't help either. If anyone could help this seems like a really huge problem and i don't understand how they didn't already release a hot patch for it...i have a motorola G6 play phone if that is relevant

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have any 3rd party battery saver or "RAM booster" apps installed?

Or even native Pie battery saver? If WhatsApp isn't excluded, it sleeps with the screen locked. (Same with Gmail.)

so i went into settings->battery->adaptive battery and turned it off. Didn't help. I went into apps then whatsapp data usage and activated background data and unrestricted data usage also didn't help...now i tried downloading a push notification fixer no root app....idk what to do anymore.

I forgot to mention i have no 3rd party battery optimization apps installed.

So it seems like the Push Notification Fixer no root app did the job for me notifications finally show up best app ever. Any other settings i have tried before were useless
