    Since android Q beta 4 when I record a short 4-6 sec video with my pixel 3 xl camera and attempt to send it via android messages to a friend I get an error "message not sent: could not resize video". This causes the message to fail every time. Anyone else running into this?

    Well seems that clearing cache did not fix it but clearing storage resolved the issue.

    Scratch that doesn't work. So it I send it from my pixel 3 xl to my wife's pixel 3a no issues, but if I send it to her iPhone it fails to resize and won't send. I'm assuming it sends to her pixel bc of the RCS function.

    Yeah it started working again even on beta 3. At least when I message my wife's pixel 3a we are both on project fi. Also, works with my parents and they are on boost Mobile using a cheap Samsung g A series phone like a really old one but it's working. Everyone is using android messages.

    for example, in my Android messaging under the settings menu, I see the RCS feature and it says registering number but it doesn't actually register the number.

    This is what I see in my Android messages under advanced settings and then in chat settings. What device/carrier are you using. I'm on a pixel 3 xl, project fi, running Android Q beta 4. See attached images.

    yeah, just check chat settings and I see where I can verify my number I'm with Verizon wireless. It just says verifying it doesn't progress through that. For some reason.

    Allrighty then I got you. still seems like a carrier issue to me for Verizon even though I spoke to their Network support team with a trouble ticket in place, and I spoke on the tier two tech support three times in a row. Mhmmmmmm

    Damn that sucks. So since I'm a project fi user I have the access to Google support for being a to customer. Do you have a similar all that lets you reach Google support or you have to go directly through Verizon?

    . Yep yepVerizon suggested the next step is to have a conference call with Google support. Tomorrow, just might have to do that. Ughhhhhh

    On project fi i can initiate a chat and it's usually instant. They can even remote into my pixel or I can request a call instead no waiting. Sucks that you have to go through all that trouble.

    Yeah, still on Verizon Google support and remote into my phone and see what's going on. like I said, tomorrow morning I might just have to do that! Is getting a little ridiculous / frustrating if you know what I mean!

    Alrighty, so another update. Just got off the phone with Verizon teir 2 tech support and Google support they tried to remote into my phone from a Google perspective, but they couldn't see anything on my phone because I'm guessing screen share is broken in Android Q beta 4. then of course the Google rep just kept on repeating that I am on a beta test platform and you know what that means??? I kept on telling him yes I'm very technical then I fell in the same with that means I'm a basically he was no help. We are unable to help you it's all test environment doesn't that I basically professionally hung up the phone with him and continued with Verizon, Verizon reprovision the RCS feature on my account, nothing changed on my settings though. Still trying to verify my number. Unfortunately.
