Just wondering if anyone would care to share their 2 cents on different launchers that work with Q.
So far I have tried Nova and find it works fine for what I use a launcher for. So besides OEM Pixel launcher has anyone experimented to see what others might work. I like Action launcher a lot but it's got some bugs on a pixel 2. Ignores home button at times so I'm thinking it's possibly more tuned to pixel 3 for the Q upgrade or just plain buggy. In any case it's unusable for my Pixel 2.
So without having to retry all my old favorites I thought maybe having a thread where people could post their experiences using one besides the OEM pixel launcher might be helpful to all.
Love the pixel launcher but like variety also. Nice to put a new UI on once in a while. :)

I am using Action Launcher and have very few issues with it. Sometimes the gesture for overview works and other times it doesn't. But it isn't a deal breaker

I have found that Action Launcher works better than Nova Launcher for me. I have both paid versions and Action is just a little better for what I do.

Interesting, on AL my home button won’t work. The recents button and back button work fine so it takes an extra step or two to get back to the home screen. Not sure if anything else is messed up as that got me right off and I went back to nova for now.
I’m using a pixel 2 so maybe the pixel 3 handles it better.
I’ll check it out further

Microsoft Launcher and Nova have both been pretty good on my 3xl still. Not quite as smooth as Pixel Launcher on Q but other than the janky animation when you swipe up for home on both of them they've played fine.

Thank you cbreze for starting this topic. I don't have the beta installed on my S9 plus but I am also curious about compatible launchers. I use Nova right now.

I use Action Launcher with Q on a 3xl
I use full gesture navigation.

For AL I have a single page with Google feed on left and a Quick Page on the right. No dock, no home button.

The only issue from this setup is if I swipe too close from the edge of the screen, the gesture navigation takes priority over my feed and Quick Page. Had to get used to that...

I switch between the stock launcher that came with the beta and Lawnchair Launcher version 2. I have no issues with either one on my Pixel 3. It all depends on what mood I'm in at the moment and which wallpaper I'm using on my phone at the time. Some wallpapers look better in Lawnchair to me.

Loving the gestures so using Pixel over Nova, my prior daily use launcher. Miss the customization but can't unsee the app I just closed reappearing for a split second before going back to home screen. Once this annoyance is fixed (hopefully) then it will be back to Nova.

Using AIO right now and it appears to be bug free from what I can tell so far. Surprised because this launcher is a bit out in left field from the main stream, but it was recently updated. I like the way it gets away from conventional icons but that option is there if you like it as well.

I decided to give Microsoft launcher another shot myself and found it to be very smooth on Q. Everything is working well.

Pixel Launcher - in my case, a return after switching to Microsoft Launcher back when it was Arrow two versions of Android (and two phones) ago. In short, it had nothing to do with any third-party launcher issues - it simply was the comfort factor of an old favorite.
