I just noticed this 2 weeks ago and this cellphone was bought 8 months ago. I don't know when this actually started. And I am having a warning on a messaging app that there is screen overlay app that might exploit my data. I uninstalled the app hider app by Hide Apps (No root) at google play. But still having that warning.

Welcome to Android Central! I'm pretty sure that's due to the theme you're using (on a Samsung phone). I recall seeing a similar post about this a little while ago.

I finally found the culprit. It is the TouchPal for Oppo. It is the default keyboard. I installed Gboard by Google and disabled the Touchpal. Now the message that alerts me isn't showing up anymore. Thanks to replies.

But the snowflake thing didn't go away. Searched in forums I bumped into but no luck at all.

Ok, I take it you have an Oppo A57. Does it have any features (or 3rd party apps installed) that can "freeze" or hibernate an app?
