I got the newest linux, in the end of the installation is says, acces denied, something has gone wrong, exiting.
Got anyone a solution for this ?

I'm on a mac and the chmod stuff didn't work for me, but the instructions in that post did. Check it out.

+1 for this -- totally forgot about this step.

See also this post that has the correct string to use.

Heck, I'll save you some time. Here's what to do (combining those two posts):

  1. Go to the 'scripts' folder.
  2. Open 'pushtodata.sh' in a text editor like TextEdit.
  3. Replace sudo ./adb push 2-Place-App-Here/$appname /data/app/ with sudo ./adb install 2-Place-App-Here/$apptopush
  4. Save and close the file.
  5. Proceed as before in Terminal.

Sure would be nice if they'd fix this in the download!

I've done everything suggested in this thread, and finally got the program to recognise my phone, but I've had the same problem as a few others:

pkg: /data/local/tmp/gtalkservice.apk
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK]
Pushed! You may need to reboot your phone to see the change.

Reboot your phone now? (y or n)

what can I do about this?

this means that the app is for an older version of android. its not compatible with your phones current build.

i dont have a mac , isnt there a home folder that you have to unzip it to,,, i think cory told me that its like Mac HD folder or something like that

How do i open SWM ? it gives me permission denied
1. navigate to the folder where you extracted Sideload Wonder Machine
2. type chmod 777 menu.sh
3. press [ENTER]

This will give the file full read/write/execute permission. No more permission denied messages!

well trying to follow instructions, new on all this.
I copied the script on therminal and it run just with drop it in.

once installed what im supossed to do to run the program?

For anyone who is getting the "can't find 'data/app' to install", try this

go the the scripts directory and edit the pushtodata.sh file

change the line that starts with sudo ./adb to this:

sudo ./adb install 2-Place-App-Here/$apptopush

Save the file and rerun the menu.sh command. It should work.

Great program. I wonder how many AT&T users just installed this today due to AngryBirds being released today?
Thank you! . It worked with my Atrix 4G

I tried downloading Side Loader onto my HTC Inspire, but nothing came onto my phone. There was a page with the information which I could view, but it had the statement, "if you cannot see your keyboard, something has gone wrong". A keyboard did not come up so I had no way of entering the commands. Any ideas of what the problem is and how to resolve it? Thanks.
