For you phone photography buffs, Moment is having their summer sale right now (through 7/31), including $20 off their popular lenses. I already have the 58 mm telephoto for my Pixel 3 XL (along with a case), and I just ordered the wide angle ($100, down from $120). These lenses are high quality and have zero distortion. The cases are required for the lenses to attach, but they're also really good cases in terms of looks and protection.

    Check it out here: www.shopmoment.com/summer-sale

How well does the 58mm work?

Nice. I keep eyeballing them, but just don't know if I can justify the price

What I like is that they've committed to supporting the current lineup of phones (including Pixels), so that with each new version, they'll create a new case, so any lens you have can be used for a long time.

The lineup that have their official case is extremely limited. Pixels, Samsung, and I think One Plus. They do now have a universal bracket available, but it surprised me they didn't offer a case for the LG V-series phones. I know they aren't as popular as Googlesung, but the target audience of those phones are the exact sort of people that would be willing to invest in higher end AV accessories like this.

That's becoming less true as some OEMs have started changing their sensor size. At some point, they have to make a new lens.

I'm not sure if that would matter, since the external lens simply fits over the phone's camera glass -- unless the sensor becomes markedly larger.

This, there are already problems with the S20 Ultra, plus Moment dropped support for their Android App.

Plus while Moment makes great products you need iOS to get the full experience and feature set. The Android app never had feature parity and eventually got abandoned. Mobile photography is the one thing that actually draws me towards iOS to be honest. Lol

It does matter, it's already an issue

Yeah, I think they're going primarily by phone popularity. To be honest, I'm happy that they even make cases for Android phones at all -- they could've easily gone the "iPhone-only because only iPhones are of any consequence" route that other companies do.

iPhone is their bread and butter. They have dropped Android support for the Moment App.

Oh ok, I read through the other thread where you were discussing this. I wonder if Google will go this route as well with the Pixels.

I never even thought about the Moment app. I'd rather stick with the stock Camera app on the Pixel.

For the most part you can away with the stock up with the telephoto and wide. The cinematic lens needs special software to recompose the video. I'm not sure about the macro or fisheye.
