Android Central Question

I am seeing few TV boxes that support 1 GB LAN. I was thinking if I purchase an RJ45 USB 3 adapter would it be recognized by the Android box and have speeds higher than the default 100 Mbps limit by the mobo or controller?

If you're buying a USB 3.0 network card that is advertised as having a certain network speed then it's likely you'll get that speed. USB 3.0 can support up to 5 Gbps, plenty for giving you a 1 Gbps LAN connection.

Now, will the OS actually recognize the adapter? Possibly, but I can't directly answer that.
