Smart TV vs Roku TV

Hi Everyone! I wanna give gift to my eldest son. I want to give him a TV. Which TV should I choose? Smart TV or Rohu TV. Need your reviews related to these. There is no issue of budget. Thanks in advance.

A Roku enabled TV would be a smart TV. It means the TV has Roku built into it. Not all smart TVs use Roku.

If he already has a TV that works perfectly fine as a TV then I suggest not wasting money on changing it for a "Smart" TV. Get them a Chromecast dongle or similar instead which is not only not much money in comparison but also (used in conjunction with a phone or tablet) adds a lot more smartness that will continue to stay smart long after the support for the limited smartness of the "Smart" TV has expired. The user interfaces on the phone or tablet touch screen are a lot easier to use too in comparison to fiddling with a TV remote control and an on-screen pick and peck keyboard.
