USB microphone issue

Wondering if anybody might know of a fix for the issue I'm facing. When I plug a USB mic into my Android 8.1 box it thinks that the mic is a speaker and sound stops outputting to the TV. In a previous box I can find an audio output setting but on this one the a95x max, I don't seem to be able to. Anyone familiar with a fix?

The mic is probably not wired for the a95, or the a95 doesn't accept a mic on the USB port.

It accepts it. I just need to be able to choose an output source that isn't the microphone. Can't find that option where as I could in a previous box.
