Google music on watch

Does anyone know how to choose what music ends up on your watch? I have over 1000 songs linked to my phone so obviously they all won't fit on my watch. I just want a certain Playlist there.

Sadly there isn't a set way to do it yet without deleting everything but that one playlist from your phone.

From Google's support page:

All the albums or playlists you’ve downloaded will sync to your watch. If you have more songs downloaded to your phone than will fit on your watch, a selection of recent albums and playlists will be downloaded on to your watch.

On my phone I can choose but only albums and Playlist. I click the little setting button on an album and hit download (even though it's already downloaded on my phone) and then it pushes it to my G Watch. You can see the Playlist is separated when you go into the Google play music settings on the phone and go manage my downloads. There's now 2 separate sections.
