Query about com.android.launcher3 message.

[Android Central Question]

I am a teacher of a school. The school has given phones to a group of students to do some homework but they are prohibited from installing games and they are under my supervision. Sometimes i just check in their accounts "my activity" in the browser, they agreed about this because it is a device just for homework.
My question is that in these days I have seen in the activity list of many of them something called com.android.launcher3 that is repeated a lot and is not accompanied by the execution of any other app.
Is there a way for a game or some other apps to run hidden through that command and not visible in the "my activity" history?

Welcome to Android Central! That's just the name for the stock launcher app (i.e., the homescreen interface). It's normal.

Looks like a 3rd party launcher which is other then stock .

Launcher3 is typically the stock one, actually. It's the technical name for the basic AOSP launcher.

Yeah we see when OP register , there are launcher 3 , usually it would say lg.launcher etc..
