Google App Question

Hi! I wanted to post this under Google Hardware, Phones and Apps ... but there was no place for an App question, sorry!

Now that Google Play Music is being shifted over to You Tube Music, I saw the article mentioning that You Tube Music will be able to import your music from Google Play Music with the tap of a button. However, no mention of prices for this service, other than the $10.00 Premium service.

I would like to know from someone who is using the You Tube Music if I will be able to use this the same way I used Google Play Music ... I used my Google Rewards credits to purchase albums on Google Play Music, and only listened to them. I do not pay a monthly fee to stream music (I don't have unlimited internet broadband to do that), and I don't want to have to in order to play music I already purchased.

Also, can I continue to use my Rewards credits to purchase music on You Tube Music?

Thank You!

It's fine for your question to be here. The Android Apps forum is intended for developers to promote their apps.

There are still no concrete details about this particular issue, but I would guess that non-subscribers to YT Music would still be able to access their music locker without any fee or ads. But one of YT Music's restrictions that was not the case with Google Play Music is that you can't have YT Music stream in the background if you're not a subscriber -- I'm guessing this will also apply to a user's personal music locker as well. But we won't know for sure until they finally announce more details.

Any music you purchased from the Google Play Store should definitely be available to you on YT Music, and Google Play credits should be usable for YT Music, because you still purchase the music from the Play Store.
