Can't access computers on my network, any ideas why?

[Android Central Question]

Running the latest FX plus.Browse sees the computers on my home network.
Both are running and logged on using the same Microsoft account. When I try to log on from FX on my android tablet, password is requested and not accepted.

Any suggestions?

Same problem on two devices
Sony Xperia tablet SGP512 running Android 6.0.1
Galaxy S8 phone Model SM-G950U, Android 9

Can you also confirm which app you're using? Is it FX File Explorer, as Laura Knotek asked, or is it some other app with "FX" in the title?
