    Recently I had a Samsung galaxy note 5 and Samsung galaxy s6 just randomly stop recognizing any charge source. Both happened with 3 days of each other. Both charged fine before it randomly happened. I checked wires, bluetooth charge pad, everything. All work fine on other Samsung device but not for those. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Hi. It sounds like the charging ports may be faulty if the cables work with other Samsung phones. Can you try other cables with the phones?

    Hey thank you for getting back to me so quickly. Both of these phones charged fine until they randomly stopped. One happened 3 days ago. The s6 happened about 2 hours ago. Same exact thing. Charged fine and then all the sudden didnt. No faltering charge issues prior. Just stopped recognizing any form of charge input. Also dont recognize connection to PC .

    You said you checked wires, but USB cables often break internally with no external indication of damage. If you were using the same cable for each phone, I would try a new cable.

    Welcome to Android Central! Also, make sure the USB ports for the phones are clear of debris. Use a can of compressed air to blow them out, or a computer vacuum.

    All of those things were tried using genuine Samsung products. Charge cable, charge base, charge port, and even bluetooth wireless charge pad. All work perfectly on my galaxy s7.

    Possible a critical app update is blocking functionality of charge? Samsung said firmware update have stopped for those devices but other critical applications like a Google application for example continue updates.

    I haven't heard of that happening. Since this is apparently affecting wireless charging too, have you tried charging while powered completely off to eliminate any software interference?

    Yes. I tried booting into safe mode to charge. Also tried clearing cache partition. Nothing. Phones dont even recognize anything is connected to them to charge at all. I'm somewhat software savvy but not hardware savvy.

    I'm with the others now. Try to clean out the USB port. It's that doesn't work, I would look into a warranty claim or repair service

    When you say "Bluetooth wireless charge pad," I assume you mean just a standard wireless charging pad, right? Bluetooth has nothing to do with charging.
