I was looking at cpo (certified pre-owned) note 9s on samsung's website and found proof that they are aware that the latest note 9 update is the reason why the phone's screen is messed up. The cpo note 9s Samsung is selling at a profit are more than likely the same ones that people traded in because Samsung is providing no solution to the "green screen" issue after the latest update. Despite all the moderator comments that the problem is likely a hardware issue, samsung is reselling these note 9s with oreo installed instead of the most recent update. It seems to me that Samsung is trying to resell these phones in working condition with Oreo and when people get the Android 10 update, or whichever caused the problem, Samsung will claim its a hardware issue and tell the distraught buyer (after a seemingly infinite time on the phone being transfered repeatedly as I was) to take it to a service center. I truly wanted to believe that Samsung is a reputable company that cares about providing quality products and is not just out to make a buck but I've given up. I've wasted too much time being jerked around on the phone and seething in frustration at the lack of effective "customer service" after spending a significant amount of money. Adios Samsung

Welcome to Android Central! Might as well take this as an opportunity to test the waters with other manufacturers -- so many people think all there is is Apple and Samsung!

Are you talking about Android Central moderators, or moderators on Samsung forums? Quick FYI, AC has no ties with Samsung, Google, or any other company. The best we all can do is speculate.

Oh my friend. I've been round and round this at the Samsung forums. I even got banned for saying that they should suspend all of the Moderators with the Samsung tag as they are making the company look bad. It's a horrible mess over there. The moderators don't attempt to answer the questions asked or worse answer questions that were never asked. Actually I'm not sure which of the two are worse... Anyway, no one reads the comments, attempts to help through troubleshooting or even attempt to give correct information. It's no surprise you noticed the issue and they ignored it or brushed it aside. I completely feel your pain and frustration. Samsung is the epidemy of every large Corporation pictured in TV and films. They see dollars and cents but not complaints or concerns.

I really hope you will use the link B. Diddy offered and take the opportunity to join us here. I think, no I know, you'll find this a better experience. That thing over there is nothing more than a glorified posting board that doesn't deserve to have the word forum attached to it in any way.

Pretty sure the OP is referring to the Samsung moderators, in this post. I would imagine they're a bit snippier than the volunteer staff on AC.

No they are 100% talking about the Samsung forum. It's a, I wish I could cuss here, train wreck over there. I wish I could describe the things I've seen there. Random posts that just say, What's up?. People trying to use it like a dating site, Hey, I'm in SPFD bored anyone want to chat?. The moderators make no attempt to clean up the BS. Most of the ones that reply to questions say stuff like "try it in safe mode" Oh but wait that's not something people do everyday, so how do you get into safe mode??? If there was anything I could disassemble piece by piece until it was completely unrecognizable and could not be reconstructed it would be those forums. Maybe AC has spoiled me but I swear it's like they aren't even trying over there. It's frustrating like seeing those "life hacks" that say put your phone in the microwave to charge it. Sure it's kind of funny if you're smart enough to know it's wrong but incredibly frustrating when you know there's someone out there trying it.

First I'm hoping you meant "there"... and second snippy would involve being intelligent. You will find very little of that there.
