I'm trying to install Android x86 on Lenovo x1 3rd Gen Tablet. I cannot get it to install drum USB or boot live. I just get a black screen with a cursor on the l left side. Secure boot is disabled too. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to be able to boot Linux on that tablet - that's the operating system that Android runs in. Once you arrange the tablet for any simple Linux installation (Ubuntu, Mint - anything like that, Android86 should boot.

Yes. I am following those steps. I have not tried Linux yet. I use rufus to burn the iso to a usb., disabled secure boot, and boot into the main setup menu. The menu looks different than the Virtualbox machine I boot the same iso into with the option to boot back into windows. If I hit install or live it boots into a black screen with a cursor in the left corner. I think it is a display issue but do not know how to fix it.
