I was transferring my files to my laptop when suddenly I couldnt move my files from my phone so I disconnected it, then when I reconnected, all my files (from a certain folder) suddenly disappeared. I dont know how they got deleted. how do I recover them?

    I connected using a cord.

If you were using the move command the data is stored in RAM which as the command has failed, means the folder is gone. Always copy/paste, it's way safer.

Welcome to Android Central! See this guide: [Guide] Recovering Deleted Files - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com. Unfortunately, recovering lost files from Internal Storage requires rooting, which in itself can overwrite some of the lost data.
