Fingerprint to open gmail

[Android Central Question]

Hi,
I was playing around and set the option to require a fingerprint to open Gmail. (Long press icon, More, lock with fingerprint).
Now I want to remove the fingerprint requirement but can't work out how to do it..
I have deleted all fingerprints and it goes away, but as soon as I add a new one the fingerprint is needed.

Can anyone help please..

I don't see option stock to lock Gmail with fingerprints?
You using a 3rd party app to do this ?

you could be using the fingerprint scan through a password manager if you have one installed

Some offer the option to hide apps, it wouldn't be horribly difficult to shift that to having to authenticate to open an app.

imo, that is just a work around, not a true option.
