S20 ultra email notifications not clearing on there own

[Android Central Question]

Hey there my s20 ultra just started doing this after an update... the email notification at the top status bar does not go away anymore after email is read in the app....I have to manually swipe down and clear notifications myself even though there is no longer any unread emails in my app. I am using the pre loaded email app for my hotmail account. Any help would be awesome thank you

Try clearing cache and force stop the email app.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be sure -- do you have any other email apps installed, like Gmail? If so, is your Hotmail account also added to the Gmail app?
