I need help with my Galaxy Note 2. It cant charge anymore.

Hey, my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was working fine until the display broke. It was broken for 4 years and when i replaced the display, it didnt charge somehow.. When i turned it on and put it on the charger, it said: "Charging Paused. Battery temp too high". I might think that the battery is faulty since i bought it when it got released. I bought a new battery, and its gonna arrive soon. I have Stock rom, without any root, but the warranty is void since i installed 4.1.2 and then got back to 4.4.2. Might this be a Software issue? i tried even factory resetting my phone. if its a software issue, i have the new firmware downloaded and ready from sammobile.

I hope i can fix this problem..

The phone is very old , might be some hardware issue. Have you tried different cables or maybe another battery but even if you could find one most likely be faulty.

Even if you bought a "new" battery, that battery was still old.

I'd suggest to get a new phone. The Note 2 could probably barely run some of the apps now.

With either 4.1.2 or 4.4.2, Google's Play Services framework is no longer supported anyway. It's only a matter of a short time before that phone is anything more than a paperweight even if it was functioning.
