Free alternative to "tenorshare ultdata"

[Android Central Question]

I recently lost photos i wanted in a cut and paste error when the connecting cable from pc to android moved slightly and lost connection.

I've tried the data recovery apps from app store such as diskdigger and dumpster and they didn't find the deleted photos i wanted - but ultdata can see them - they are there on my android phone.

I dont want to root the phone nor do i want to pay 30/40 for a months licence of ultdata - there must be a free alternative that doesnt require me to root phone or pay money?

Welcome to Android Central! A lot of those programs will require payment -- not everything can be free. And if the lost files were on Internal Storage, you pretty much have to root the phone. Sorry!

But let's see if anyone else has any ideas.
