Why are my settings different? Note 9.

I bought a blue Note 9 512g from Ebay,had it almost a week.

Upgraded from a 4 and 2 before that.

I was browsing through videos on Youtube and noticed that my settings layouts look different to all that I have seen so far.
I would rather have those...

Why would my setting llook different.
I was looking for a delivery report and couldn't follow the instructions as the settings looked so different.

Normally I would ring Samsung about this but there is no help at the moment,just instant chat.

I haven't got it on easier settings.

Everything is up to date.

2.1 Android 10.

Kernel 4.9 Build no QPIA Knox 3.4.1

Also in settings> software>about phone, please confirm the baseband version.

Thanks for replying. I was concerned your phone may have been a clone. It's not When devices update their version of Android, it can affect the layout. I note you were looking for delivery report settings. To do this, go into messages then hit the extended menu (3 dots on top of each other at the top of the screen, select settings> more settings > text messages and then move the slider to turn on "show when delivered". If you have anything else we can help with, just "yell"

Hi again.

I have had problems all day with my phone signal. I mainly use Wifi but noticed all week since I got my new Note 9 that I am constantly on 4G which means my Wifi is being disconnected.
So I rang Talk Talk who did a check and there isn't a problem.
Coincidence?

Then I put my sim back in my Note 4 and it's fine so I'm sticking with that for a bit.
The Note 9 just wouldn't stay stable,it kept dipping.

Morning.

Rang Talk Talk this morning and ended up doing a hard reset on my 6 week old router. Problem solved and all my TV and phone connections are working beautifully. Nice to know it wasn't the phone.

3 years ago I started looking for a new phone as my Note 2 was feeling it's age but I loved it somuch.
I bought a Note 4 and when I watched videos about setting it up I was aware that my settings weren't quite the same.
I wanted those settings, not the ones I had as I knew they would be easier for me. I use Samsung Notes mainly for the pen and don't do anything 'I'.
It went back as I had 30 days to try it and found out that what I should look for was a Lollipop 4 was it? The difference when I bought the right one was instant. That's what I want again now as this phone is not right as it is.

I have looked at the uploading screenshots and managed to get them on my phone but failed to post them properly.
I will keep at it though. I really want to share my settings pics.
I did search on Google images but couldn't see anything that looked like my settings.

I can't return this one as it was a private seller and there is nothing wrong with it (I now know) !!

A couple things to keep in mind. Different carrier versions of the phone will have some variation to the settings as they tweak features on the phone. Verizon I know from experience removes a few things.

The other thing is the settings menu often changes when the OS(Android Version) gets updated. Most articles and YouTube videos on a phone will show the stock software, so if you buy the phone more than a year after release it's likely the software will be different due to an update.

Problems all now solved. The settings are fine,and I am getting used to them quickly.

I also found out about my delivery reports. I deleted the messaging app and found a similar one,same icon and this one has far less ads and in the settings, there it was !!

That is the only thing I couldn't find so I am very happy now.

At the moment I am still getting used to it but it is so intuitive isn't it?

I like the size very much. One handed much more enjoyable.
