When I try Android device tracker on husband's phone it only finds his phone the one I'm using. Anything else I can do? It's been 24 hours hopefully it's not dead yet

Check the laundry room. That's where I usually find mine. There are apps that will override the silent for Find My Device . Did you set that up? Log into your Google account associated with the missing phone and see if it's visible.
    Good luck.

My ui still calls it Find My Device. Has it been changed or is Find My Phone a different app/feature?

I found my phone in the freezer once. I think what happened is I went to get something out of the freezer and a bunch of things tried to fall out. So I set it down in the shelf for a sec to stuff things back in and forgot about it.

I spent hours trying to find it until I went back to the freezer for something else and there it was.

Then there was the time that I had a phone in the innner pocket, forgot it was there and washed it, but that's another story

Best of luck in finding it. Common places for me are seat/couch cushions, car (I thought I brought it in but didn't), under mail/papers that I set on top of it.

Are you both using the same Google account? If it's showing his phone it's looking for phones on the account on his phone.

Google's Find My Device is still supposed to make a sound, even if the phone is in silent mode: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6160491?hl=en

If it is a Samsung phone they have their own device location software. Try them both.

It could be find my mobile or find my device is not enabled for the device or you need to check from your Android account if the device is not the same account as your husband's. If the battery is not already dead eventually it will be and then it won't make a difference.

I use my Google home to call my device when I lose it. It is one of the best features of the Google home devices.
