Android Central Question

Hi everyone,
I got a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and it keeps looping while showing the Samsung Tab S2 + Powered by Android screen. I tried hard reset (home + vol up + PWR) it shows a blue screen with android logo for a split second and then... it keeps looping again. Any ideas, anyone?

If it's looping, you definitely have to reflash the firmware (assuming that there's no hardware fault, which there may be with a 5 year old device, even if it was "new old stock").

Welcome to Android Central! Are you able to get to the Recovery Menu using these steps? https://www.t-mobile.com/support/de...7t/wipe-cache-partition-samsung-galaxy-tab-s2 If so, try wiping the cache partition. If that doesn't work, then try a reset from that menu.

As hallux mentioned, it's highly unlikely that the tablet is "brand new." It's brand new to you, but it's almost certainly used or refurbished. So it's possible the tablet had been returned due to hardware or firmware fault, or the previous owner might have tried to flash a different firmware and failed spectacularly, or the battery might be close to dead.
