I recently bought the. steelseries arctis 1 wireless headset, and it works perfectly. But the moment I initiate a call, all sound goes through my phone speakers instead of the headset. I tried everything, what is causing this?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Go to Settings>Bluetooth, tap the gear icon next to the headset entry, then make sure Phone Audio is turned on.

I asked for help a few days ago, but didn't have an account and I don't know how to respond to the thread so I'm just making another one since this still isn't fixed.

I recently bought the steelseries arctis 1 wireless headset, and it works perfectly. But the moment I initiate a call, all sound goes through my phone speakers instead of the headset. I tried everything, what is causing this?

It uses a dongle so it doesn't appear under blue tooth settings. And it works 100% perfectly when not in a call. I was listening to music as a test, and started a call. Then guess what? The moment the call stated the music switched from the headphones and moved to the phone speaker.

It makes my purchase completely useless since using it for calls is what I bought it for. And it works in every other case but the exact moment a call starts all sound just ignores the dongle and headset.

I merged your threads together and assigned your initial guest post to your username.

Which phone do you have? According to their website (https://steelseries.com/gaming-heads...s-1-wireless):

"Samsung Galaxy phones prior to the Galaxy Note 10 do not have voice functionality via USB-C for any peripherals at this time. This means that you can hear your media such as games, music, and videos, but will not be able to use any USB-C products for voice calls or voice chat. We are hopeful that Samsung adds this functionality in future updates."

They don't say anything about phones from other manufacturers, though, so I don't know if that means it's only compatible with Samsung phones from the Note10 onward.

Oh that's interesting. I have a galaxy S8. I guess that explains exactly why it works for everything except voice calls.
