Why my Android is trying to connect to a NTP server in Apple's network (17.253.18.125)?

[Android Central Question]

Hi everyone,
Any clue why an S8+ with the latest patch for the Samsung stock Android 9 is trying to access the IP 17.253.18.125 for the NTP service (port 123)? According to Arin Whois service the A class network 17.0.0.0/8 belongs to Apple.
There is no virus neither I have any app from Apple.

I'd guess that it's trying to sync time.

Welcome to Android Central! NTP means Network Time Protocol, so I agree with spARTacus, it sounds like it has to do with system date/time.
