    While looking my applications, I noticed I have multiple phone applications. Two are the same version and not set as default app, but are using memory and battery at a high frequency. The third phone application is the default calling app and the latest version.

    Welcome to Android Central! This is normal. I'm not sure what the division into 3 separate apps is for, but I've seen this on every recent Android phone.

    Which device/phone? Different manufacturers could have duplicate apps like Samsung phones .
