Got system update notification

[Android Central Question]

Just received system update notification it required reboot. Pixel XL with stock Android, applications only from play store.

But security update still shows from 6 October 2019.

Does it looks like the phone was hacked?

I believe the pixel xl got its last update in 2019, so doesn't look like you been hacked .

That is right. I'm had last updates thince then. So I was surprised to see an update today.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this your daily driver, or has it been in storage?

Another possibility is that it was as Google Play System Update, not the usual monthly security patch. Go to Settings>Security -- do you see a setting for Google Play System Update there? (NOT the one that says Security Update.)
