Anything saved only to the phone may be gone, whereas whatever you have backed up will be accessible on your new device when you sign into your accounts on it. Have you backed up? https://forums.androidcentral.com/as...community.html

Welcome to Android Central! This is why you always need to consider how you're keeping your important data backed up or synced before disaster strikes.

Which phone did you have that broke? If it's relatively new, and if you had Google's Backup feature turned on, then all of the system settings will be restored when you set up the new phone with the same Google account, and the apps you had installed from the Play Store will be automatically reinstalled (assuming they're still compatible with the new phone). Certain data like SMS messages will also be restored (but not MMS). Any data in apps that are in the cloud should be easily synced/restored as well, like contacts saved to your Google Contacts.

However, any data that you only saved locally to the phone and didn't backup or sync anywhere else is lost.
