So it doesn't look like someone is screen capturing me or its malware
Nope, it's an inherent flaw of AMOLED screens. If you had malware or hacking going on, they wouldn't make it so obvious.

Perfectly safe. To see a more exaggerated example of what burn in is (the uneven wearing out and dimming of AMOLED pixels), check out this video. They are testing OLED tv's, but the same principles still apply. Note the difference brightness, saturation, and even similarities of images (such as the ghostly CNN hosts) play a role in now quickly and drastic burn in appears.

There's a first time for everything. To pin it down to an exact reason depends on how you use the phone and now close you pay attention to it.

Oh OK only had phone since April its a a71 Samsung. It did fall off sofa the other week. Would that be what caused it. But its definitely safe and not any screen logging, remote access in background or malware causing it.

But can the image still stay on screen when app is closed and not being used looked on Google and screen burns seems different to what I have going on

Damage from a fall would more likely show up as color bleed, where the liquid inside the screen is broken from its containment. Screen burn in will have variable appearances, because it's all based on your specific usage (as demonstrated in the above video).

Ok so you are definitely 100% sure it's screen burn and not anything malicious like screen logging, remote access or malware. Can it happen know even if I only had my device for a couple months

And still show after factory reset

    Clearer picture

It's screen burn-in. Nothing else. Just screen burn-in. Nothing malicious.

To avoid screen burn-in, set your screen timeout to 30 seconds or less, and don't make a habit of keeping the screen on if you don't really need it on. Unfortunately, screen burn-in is irreversible, so you're stuck with it on this phone.

Simply put, this is physical damage. You keep asking if it's malware or whatever, and we keep telling you no. If you keep asking if it's malware, we'll keep telling you no, if we answer at all.

That's help so much thank you. I have installed malwarebytes is that good protection aswell

Also if I get screen replacement would that fix this issue

Yes, a screen replacement would fix that, but you should ask yourself how much the burn-in bothers you, since a screen replacement isn't cheap (and there's always the possibility that something else could get damaged during the replacement).

is it a good anti-malware software to have on phone.

it doesn't bother me. As I said was just concerned that it was malware but as you said its safe and not too worry right?. So not to concerned just still don't understand how its happened over the space of a few months since buying it new in April

Any antivirus app is generally not needed if you follow the precautions I outlined in the guides, but if you're going to go with one, Malwarebytes is one of the more trustworthy.

Screen burn-in can happen pretty quickly if you're not careful (as previously discussed). It can happen over that short period of time.

Yep I will never download from dodgy sites or links. And just wanted one to be on the safe side. Do you think warranty would replace screen

So just to confirm its as stated it nothing dangerous or malicious and its perfectly safe to carry on using phone without worrying and if I did ever get screen replaced it would then disappear.

Warranty is only for manufacturer's defects, not for accidental damage. If you bought additional phone insurance that covers accidental damage, use that. Otherwise, you're paying out of pocket.

Just asking and that's it I won't ask anymore so I don't need to worry anymore right about it being malicious as its a screen burn. And perfectly safe
