Voice activated app while driving

[Android Central Question]

I use my android phone like an infotainment center for my car. I like using voice commands like Hey Google to perform tasks. The only thing that is a problem is when I ask Google to play a song that is in memory on my phone. It will always go to YouTube music and from what I read there is no way to access the songs on my phone using Google voice activation. I would rather not use youtube music because my data plan is really small.

Admittedly, I am a newb when is comes to cell phones. Is there a workaround?

Can you tell it which app to use, like "Hey, Google, play {song} on {app}"?

I use echo auto for voice command music and navigation.
