LG Stylo 5 touchscreen too sensitive

How do l/can I fix this?

If anything (charging cable, ear bud
cable, sleeve, piece of paper, etc.)
accidentally touches my Screen, it
minimizes/maximizes, starts videoS,
changes settings, etc., all manner of
things didn't want.

It's annoying as h-e-double hockey
sticks. Found an answer from 2015,
but that doesn't work any longer (as
far as I could tell). Help, please.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a screen protector on? If so, try taking it off, in case it's affecting the touchscreen sensitivity.

I removed it several weeks ago. Have the same problem with or without Gorilla Glass.

No joy. I did try using a screen test and a calibration app (Test Your Android and Touchscreen Calibration, respectively) but that did nothing. I also tried increasing the touch delay in Accessibility; also did nothing. Jeez. Hope this isn't an annoyance I'm stuck with until I purchase the next gen Stylo. Thanks for your patience and help.

You could also try a factory reset, although that's understandably a hassle.
