Adding contact to new message

[Android Central Question]

Samsung J3. When I start to type name of contact, the first entry is :
The letter (in black) over a number (in red), neither of which relate to anything in my contacts. If I type my contacts name that comes up as second in list.
Ie
Sarah (in black)
72724 (in red)
Under that the actual contact is shown
Sarah (in red)
07777 777777 (in black)

Welcome to Android Central! 72724 is what you'd get if you spelled out "Sarah" using your phone's keypad (i.e., with the letters that correspond to the keypad digits), so that's why it shows up.
