Annoying blue halo appearing on my Android phone screen every time I touch it!

A blue halo keeps appearing on my Android phone screen every time I touch it. Tried every fix I've found, but nothing seems to work to get rid of it. SO annoying!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Does the halo appear where you touch? Any Developer Options turned on?

Also, it may be Show Touches in Settings, Developer Options.

Is it the screen doing it, as if it's being pressed hard or broken? Or is it the screen itself displaying a blue halo?

The many threads and mergings thereof make us appear to be clowns, making the same suggestions after they have already been suggested; but we are not really like that.
