Shortcuts missing after Android 11 update

[Android Central Question]

On my Pixel 3aXL I have a screen with shortcuts to my most used contacts. Yesterday my Pixel updated to the June 5 security patch. All my contacts shortcuts were deleted. Only those. App icons are still fine. This is the 3rd time this has happened. Each update they are deleted. The contacts are from my office 365 account.

My contacts shortcut disappeared when I updated my Pixel 4a to Android 12.
It just maybe what happens with any update.

Welcome to Android Central! I've had this happen once, I think, after a major Android version upgrade. I have a folder of Direct Dial widgets, and they disappeared for some reason. But it certainly doesn't happen all the time.
