Welcome to Android Central! I wouldn't call that a gaming phone. It's 3 years old and has a Snapdragon 660. If you installed the games from somewhere besides the Play Store, there's more possibility that the games are not completely compatible with your phone, or worse yet, they're corrupt or potentially malicious. Also, if you notice increased battery drain or warmth while playing the games, the phone might be shutting down automatically to protect itself.
