I have a tablet (Medion E10513) that came with a spin bike. The bike broke so I now have a tablet that will only run the preloaded software. Any way to get this tablet back to running just Android. I've done a hard reset but it still boots up with only the preloaded software. None of the standard Android options are accessible - only the preloaded software. I connected the tablet to a laptop and no files showed up.

Welcome to Android Central! You'd have to root it and flash a custom ROM. This would depend on if there's a root exploit available for that device, and if anyone has designed a custom ROM for that specific device. Considering that it was made specifically for that bike, and that it's not a common device, I'm guessing there's very little chance of this, but you might want to check the forums at XDA-Developers.com, which would be a better resource for this kind of thing.

Something else to consider is these sorts of Android based devices are purpose built for their respective limited uses. They aren't going to use top of the line specs, opting for cheaper components that will just get the job done. So even if we assume you can get a custom ROM installed, loading it up with a bunch of apps is likely to bog it down to the point of being almost useless unless you like lag.
It's a good thought so you aren't generating so much waste, but I doubt it's worth the effort.

I agree with XDA but that's not a popular device so it might be hard to find Information.
