I have a Samsung Galaxy S10e. I like the expandable storage option. But Samsung is doing away with expandable storage. So should I 1) upgrade to my brothers used Note 10 plus, 2) purchase a Note 20 Ultra plus because of the expandable storage, or 3) get a current model like a S21?

    Thank you for your help!

Welcome to Android Central! How much internal storage do you think you need? Are you regularly exceeding the 128 GB or 256 GB that come with many Samsung phones these days?

Great, any thoughts on the question @B. Diddy asked?

I haven't had expandable storage on a device in 7 or more years, only once found myself really wishing I had more storage - on my 2013 Moto X.

Hardware wise the Note 10 plus is nearly identical to the S10, primarily it's the screen and S Pen that differentiates them. Unless it's a cheap upgrade I wouldn't bother.

Note 20 Ultra is only a year old, SOC isn't as good as what's in the S21 series but it's still a great phone. If the sd card is an essential feature for you it's what I'd recommend.

So based on responses, research, and money output. I'm leaning towards the S21 Ultra 5G.

That is a great idea! I've heard many good things about the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. Are you going to get any accessories for it as well?

The only accessories I purchase are the Zagg invishield to protect my screens and a protective case. Usually an Otterbox.

Weight a minute though. Bear in mind the S21 Ultra is 230gm and the S10e is 150 gms. That may come as a shock for some. The S21 Plus is at what's considered borderline OK at 200 gm and the S21 is 170gm.

I have a 220 gm phone with a good case and protector, small hands and a broken wrist. I do OK but there are times it's not ideal.

There are other brands out there with flagship models, plus so called flagship killers with great specs.

I recently updated to a standard Note 20, instead of another Note 9, or a Note 10, as in my location, the 4G sucks, they're just shifting to 5G in my hometown, and to get the extended update coverage, since my budget was around $500, I love the Note series of phones, and my Note 9 was so wonderful I used it for 3 years. The smaller 20 suits me fine, although I'd love to have the Ultra for more memories and goodies it has. Even after 3 years, I didn't approach using half of its available 128 gig storage.

You may be more media-hungry, in that case, the greater capacity of the Ultra might be a better fit, or one of the S21 series, if you wanna be on the bleeding edge of newer devices.

    Good luck with your upgrade!
