Did Android 9 have a icon in pull down menu for mobile cellular data?

Maybe I was imagining this

But ever since a new sim card was installed by t mobile
I believe this toggle icon disappeared

I believed it allowed you to see at a glance if you were using cellular data

It also allowed you to turn cellular data
off or on

Its been bothering me
Maybe I'm tripping

A10E ANDROID 9

It definitely hasn't been taken away by T-Mobile. I still have a Mobile Data toggle in the Quick Settings on my A32 5G from T-Mobile.

I tried using button order thinking it would be in extra unused icons

But it's not there either

I showed it to reps at tmobile store yesterday
and they had no answer for me

When I was still with Sprint their online chat techs had no answer for me

It happened after new sim from tmobile

It happened to both my phone and wife's phone after new sims

Can't be related to sims Can it?

Call them to provision your sim to the device and see what happens

Swipe down twice from the top of the screen so that you have the full Quick Settings panel open. Then tap the 3 dot menu button at the upper right, then Edit Buttons. Do you see the toggle in the Available Buttons window? Make sure to scroll left and right in that window to see all of the available buttons.

Yes did all that

Right away

But icon or button is gone

What I really want to know is if other Sprint users have had this problem

This is all part of Sprint Tmobile merger

Checked my son's S8+, took pics of the screen, no Mobile Data toggle on it. It's an Android 9 device. I did take it out of Airplane Mode to check after I shot the screens, no change.

So tmobile or Samsung has deleted the mobile data toggle in the quick menu.

Why?

And is it that important

Well I do like seeing at a glance if I am using
Mobile data

There are other less easy ways to check if you are using mobile data

So you can still check

But no one told the users of this change

Or maybe it was an unintended consequence thing

I don't know and does android 11 have this
Mobile data toggle

I'll run it by tmobile tech tomorrow

My Note 9 was a Sprint device, and after T-Mo took charge, they wiped the Sprint splash screen off the device, but it has a Mobile Data toggle on it, but it's Android 10. My Note 20 is AT&T unlocked, and has a MoData toggle, as well. But son's AT&T S8+ does not.
