S20 Gallery, Duplicated Camera Album

I must emphasise that I do not have an SD card on my Galaxy S20!
All my photos are being saved in Gallery but in exactly duplicated "Camera" albums.
Path 1 is: /internal storage/DCIM/Camera
Path2 is: /internal storage/DCIM/Samsung Gallery/DCIM/Camera

I have tried all sorts of attempts to reduce the content to just on "Camera" album but within a very short while the duplicate always appears.

I mentioned the no SD card because suggestions for clearing this problem, on Google, always say that SD location would be the cause.

I look forward to any suggestions.

Welcome to Android Central! That's very odd. If you take a new picture, does it show up in both directories? What happens if you use your file manager app to delete a photo in one of those directories -- does the same photo in the other directory also get deleted?

Are you using the stock My Files app or a different file manager app?

Have you used Smart Switch and restored photos from a different device onto this one?
