New Samsung data switch

transferring my data from my Samsung ao1 to my new Samsung a 12, it will not let me have my text messages, receive or text. Nothing is going through please help what do I do

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that the data transfer process didn't restore your text messages, or that the new phone won't currently send or receive text messages? Can you make phone calls or access the web using mobile data? Have you asked your carrier about this?
