Why is my lock screen didn't show up?

Everytime i open my phone, the lock screen won't show. I've tried reseting the phone and changing my lock screen.

In order to offer you the best advice and prevent us from doing a lot of guessing we'll need more information. Let's start with these questions and see where we end up...

What device do you have?

When you say that you've tried resetting your phone what do you mean? You've restarted it, you've done a factory reset, you've tried turning the screen on and off?

Have you looked at your lock screen settings? The one I want you to look at is lock immediately upon screen off. This should tell us if the lock screen is at least working even though I have a feeling I know what is happening.

As I eluded to in my previous statement it sounds like something is keeping the phone active so that even when the screen is turned off the phone never enters rest mode. How is your battery life, maybe shorter than usual? When you look at your battery usage page, what are your top apps draining your battery? Does the lock screen ever work, perhaps randomly throughout the day or every other day or so, anything like that?
